sew-pocalypse?

So.

Out of thread (I had so many spools what even happened).
Scissors are dull.
No bobbins for the sewing machine.
Only half a box of pins with no magnet catcher.
NO VACUUM TO CATCH ALL THE STRAY THREADS, DEAR LORD.

It’s like a sew-pocalypse right now, only not related to Halloween. I wasn’t even planning for Halloween simply because it didn’t occur to me, but then someone informed me of Chipotle’s $2 burritos… which means I’m going to be a terrible Halloween. Anyways.

I’ve plowed through the Eton collar, and it took so long mostly because I kept going back to correct the first collar as well.

Corrections include;

  • Final adjustments to the lining pattern for an extreme turn of cloth.
  • Sewing process refined again so there’s only minimal bald gaps and no loose threads between the seam.
  • Added an interlining so the hair from the interfacing won’t bother people with sensitive skin.

They’re almost all done and perfected, so that time leers closer and closer… I’m disappointed that I only obtained 1 meter of this fur. I think I could only make 6 whole collars or possibly 9 if no one minds a seam down the middle.

As a note, the Pacific Media Expo is next week too!

I would like to bring homemade goodies to the Fashion Swap Meet, but it seems that it is discouraged and I’m not interested or prepared for an Artist Alley table. Alas.

And lastly, do you guys remember this baby?

I sold it a few months ago, but I’m been contacted again with the chance to buy the dress back. I’m so happy she was willing to work out a payment plan, I honestly really regret selling my first lolita dress. Happy and busy days abound.
