Do you guys remember last time how I mentioned that life was currently a whirlwind because so much was happening all at the same time? Fanime is done, Anime Expo is around the corner, my FIDM final projects are all within the next two weeks, and on the weekends sometimes I’m a midwife for dogs.

That’s right. Between burando/conventions and being a grossly exaggerated fashion student, I pull puppies from egg sacs and shake them until they’re terrorized into living.
I’m just kidding, I actually know what to do. Not my first time doing this. I’m so grateful they chose to be born on a Saturday.

These babies aren’t technically my babies, though. They’re under ownership of my grandfather and my uncle and they’re calling on me to check the puppy progress every week. I’m just making sure everyone is healthy and growing strong and I’m providing instructions on what to do each week, and that included how to bottle-nurse and what to feed momma.

These are from today’s check-up. :> There are 7 puppies, but considering they all look like little cows I can’t remember each of them particularly. They’re exactly two weeks old now, and they’ve almost tripled in size since birth. Their eyes and ears are starting to open at various degrees, and you can tell by pirate-face in the corner. C: They’re 3/4 beagle and 1/4 corgi, and the parents (and grandparents!) are wonderful dogs. My babies are always the best.

Once they hit two months they will be available for adoption locally. Until then, I’ll be enjoying every week I have with them.
